How do I use Lasair?

After installing and pairing your device, press Ctrl+Alt+T at any time to capture your screen and get an instant response in the overlay. For a more thorough analysis, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T (Pro mode, 3 credits).

How do I pair my device?

Sign in to app.lasair.ai/dashboard and click "+ Activate device". You'll get a 6-digit code — enter it in the Lasair tray app when prompted. The code expires after 5 minutes. Each account can have one paired device at a time.

How do I buy more credits?

Visit app.lasair.ai/buy or open your dashboard. Credits are available in packs and do not expire for 30 days after purchase. A Lasair Plus protection plan keeps credits from expiring as long as the plan is active.

The overlay isn't appearing — what do I check?

Make sure the Lasair tray icon is visible in your system tray and shows as active (not paused). Check that your device is paired and your account has credits. If the issue persists, try restarting the Lasair service from the tray menu, or reinstall the software and re-pair your device.

How do credits work?

Fast mode (Ctrl+Alt+T) costs 1 credit. Pro mode (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T) costs 3 credits. Credits are debited when the query is submitted, before the response is generated. They are non-refundable and expire 30 days after purchase unless you have an active protection plan.

Is the overlay visible in screen sharing or recordings?

Lasair is designed to keep your session private during ordinary screen sharing and recording. A tray icon is always shown locally so you can see when Lasair is running.

What data does Lasair send to its servers?

When you press the hotkey, Lasair sends the current screen image to generate a response. Screen images are not stored after the response is delivered. We also use limited account, billing, and device information to keep accounts secure. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

I need to switch to a new computer. How do I re-pair?

Go to your dashboard and click "Revoke device". This unpairs your current device. Then pair your new device using a fresh 6-digit code from the dashboard. Your credits carry over automatically.
